National Guard Fighter Jet Strafes School
NEW YORK (Reuters) - A National Guard F-16 fighter plane mistakenly fired off 25 rounds of ammunition at the Little Egg Harbor Intermediate School in South New Jersey on Wednesday night.
The pilot was meant to fire the rounds some 3 1/2 miles away at a military target range, Lt. Col. Roberta Niedt of the New Jersey Department of Military and Veterans Affairs told reporters in the Jersey shore township's police headquarters.
No one was injured as school was out and a lone custodian was inside the building when the bullets hit.
Damage was minimal as the non-exploding, 20 millimeter bullets left only puncture marks in the school's roof and the asphalt outside the building.
The fighter jet was part of the 113th Wing, District of Columbia Air National Guard assigned to Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland.
An investigation is being conducted into how the pilot mistook the school, located on Frog Pond Road, for a target range.
There aren't a whole lot of things more awesome then having a goddamn fighter jet open fire on a school. It's just too bad there were no kids inside; the little punks could have used a lesson in who runs the show. Put the fear of God into them, and maybe all these school kids today would stop acting like snot nosed assholes.
I thought Columbine would have done the trick. Suddenly these fucking kids can't trust one another to not blow each other's worthless brains out. They would have to constantly be watching their backs and have no choice but to get in line. Instead, kids end forgetting about the whole massacre and still go about being little dicks. They're still watching TRL, quoting Dave Chappelle like they're also a thirty year old black guy, and trying badass "xtreme" moves on the skateboards outside the xtreme public library wheelchair ramp.
Unfortunately, we can't count on any more school shootings to come up, students today are too unreliable and lazy to put together the kind of planning it takes to bring a gun to school and let it rip. So this leaves the National Guard to scare the hell out of these damn brats. And they can do it. We already know these solders can put their money where their mouth is when it comes to beating down little rebellious bastards. They did it in Kent State in 1970, they just did it in New Jersey, and they can sure as hell do it again. Fucking kids need to learn the lesson Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold failed to teach: knock the shit out or you're dead.
