"The Bitterest Pill"Season 6 Episode 12
Canadian airdate: January 9th, 2007
The episode opens at JT's funeral. Alex is there for some reason. She doesn't know JT, but she is poor so she likes to go to random funerals for the free food afterward. That's better than Emma, who is dressed very inappropriate for a funeral. She is showing a lot of cleavage and leg. Her skirt isn't even black. Emma, you aren't trying to be proper for the situation. You know you need to cover yourself up a little when Manny is dressed more conservatively than you.
Liberty is sad. JT rejected her and then she died. As opposed to most people who reject Liberty but get to live on. She and Toby say that this funeral atmosphere is so wrong because JT would want it to be upbeat. They say that JT would put whoopie cushions on every seat if he could. Apparently, JT has the humor of a 1950's manchild.
Toby, Liberty, and Mia take it upon themselves to empty out JT's locker. But Mia and Liberty get catty with each other and Mia just grabs stuff and takes it for herself while calling Liberty a robot. It would be cool if Liberty was a robot. The arguing prevents them from cleaning out JT's locker and they leave it for another day. Come on guys, you need to get that cleared out soon. The school needs that locker for the new kid from Estonia.
Toby and Liberty skip school to cruise in his car. They don't get far because Toby's Jew car breaks down. He needs to spend some of his Jew gold to fix it, but you know how those kykes are about spending money. Thank you, that line was written by guest contributor, Carlos Mencia.
Toby and Liberty kiss. I guess they like each other. As disgusting as the kiss is to watch, we have to cut them some slack and remember that this is the best either of them will do.
The next day, Toby is uneasy about the kiss because he woke up to find his lips breaking out in green hives. Manny gives him some advice. Manny has replaced Marco as the main advice giving person around the school. I guess she is good choice for the advice giver because she is the only person on the show feminine than Marco. That's good if you are going for a pattern with advice givers. The thing is, Manny kind of sucks at giving advice (among other things she sucks LOL). She tells Toby that he needs to take the kiss back. That...no...no...that's how things work. Manny should know that kisses, like hepatitis C, can't be taken back.
Ellie has spent a good deal of time hanging around school. Oh yeah, Ellie has a B plot. She was worried about telling Editor guy about her kiss with Craig. Here we learn that Editor guy's name is Jesse Stavonivich. He isn't mad about the kiss because he did something with another girl at bar last night. "Not the worst," he explains,"but bad." He just did her up the butt. Ellie is mad about this, but then makes up with Jesse and they decide to have an open relationship, a very open relationship.
The school memorial for JT begins. It features a slide show that Peter and Spinner put together. I get that Peter is good with computer things, but I'm not sure why Spinner was involved. I don't think he even likes Peter. I figure the producer realized that it had been three episodes without Spinner and they need to put him in at least a little to keep the ratings from dropping.
Mia complains to Toby that JT hated Liberty and she suspects that JT was right: Liberty may really be a robot. That's when Toby confesses that JT chose Liberty over Mia before he died. Mia is sad about this. Liberty heard that from across the room because she has power electronic robot hearing and now Liberty is angry at Toby for the kiss because he hid the fact that JT still liked her.
But then everyone becomes friends again and the three of them get back to emptying out JT's locker. Now Juhan has a place to put his books.
This was a pretty good follow up to last week's episode. JT would still be on a lot of people's minds after seven days. But I hear that JT's death is going to be a continuing issue this season. Why? Why would anyone remember JT after another week? I forgot his name while writing this review and had to look it up online.
Does It Go There? A bit
Yeah it does.
